The rain had finally stopped a few hours ago. Soft droplets kept tapping against the large glass windows while the first rays of the morning sun slowly slipped through the curtains.

"I won't let anyone harm you..ever again." He promised, eyes filled with determination and possessiveness. Afterall, she is his...only his. "I know." She smiled kissing his cheek, her eyes filled with hope and happiness. ~~~ "I...I wi-ill protect you.." He pleaded, his voice cracking. He took a tentative step forward, but she recoiled, her body trembling with the weight of past pain. She looked at him, her eyes hollow, a tear tracing the line of her cheek as she let out a bitter laugh. "Zakham Dene vale marham lagane ki baat nahi karte..." A tale of love, regret and redemption... ~~~~~~~
Her foot was aching continuously but she couldn't stop, not when she has come this far from him. Her freedom was just some miles away. "You can do it" she encouraged herself. The road in front of her was deserted, the rain started pouring heavily making her completely damp, the cold wind was blowing ominously making her shake badly. Suddenly a question arose in her mind. "Did I really run away from him or came back in the same cage".......
Is it easy to break a person? That too beyond repair? How can someone be this much cruel to inflict pain on others? Her bruises constantly remind her of the pain she has endured. The pain which broke her completely and made a permanent place of fear in heart, body and soul. She is a victim and this is her story.
